Swapping An Exercise

Swap an exercise for today, or for the rest of your meso. If you have a coach, they can confirm lasting changes.

Step By Step

  1. In your workout, tap Swap on the exercise card.
  2. Pick another exercise for the same muscle. Best matches are listed first.
  3. Choose Today Only or All Future Workouts.
  4. Training on your own? Choose Today Only or All Future Workouts. If you have a coach, choose Today Only or Ask Coach For Rest Of Meso — a today swap applies straight away and your coach is told.

Good To Know

  • Exercises graded D or F for growth are never offered by Swap.

How It Works

Your sets stay the same unless the new exercise is more demanding, in which case they may come down. The starting weight comes from the last time you did the new exercise; if you never have, start light. A swap is useful when equipment is busy or a movement doesn't suit your joints.

Common Questions

What happens if my coach declines the rest-of-meso swap?

Today's swap stays, and later weeks keep the original exercise.

Can I swap back?

Yes. Swap again and pick the original exercise.
